What's your WHY?

To whom may stumble upon this beauty of a mess of a blog:

I am a student, soon to be Doctor of Chiropractic at LifeU in ATL.

Why a Blog?
Decided to start a blog as a playground for ideas, thoughts, rants, basically whatever  that I wanted to get down and keep for later.  At some point I will make a legit blog that will be a credible source for all sorts of things.  At this point in time, this is only for fun and as a way to develop some ideas n whatnot for later down the road.  I will try to cite my ideas, or at least back up the things I say whenever I can, but I will not be perfect. There will be plenty of typos, miscommunications, misunderstanding, complete errors, etc etc. Yes there will be things I would love to elaborate on more. Some things I'll just scratch the surface on.  There will be controversial issues, learn to embrace healthy debate and keep an open mind, that's how we all grow and develop our own philosophies and beliefs.  You should stand up for these, and express your passions and values, otherwise you'll stay submerged in the pool of mediocrity.

My goal as a doctor is to empower people to make the best possible decisions to create health within their life, which will be reflected by this blog.

Many of my recipes, for example, may not be step by step with exact amounts all layed out for you.  I want people to learn to love food and appreciate the effect of different spices and food combinations have so that they can tune the recipes to their own liking.  I know this will be difficult through a blog, but as a doctor I will have ways to impact my patients, and hopefully the people they come into contact with to spread the message and these practices.

Again, it's just a playground for my own good.

I have tons of partially started topics that I'll slowly pump out.  And the ones that submerge will always be works in progress as just when you think you have a full understanding of something... that goes right out the window.

My Overarching WHY

This is just another part of my journey to carry out my purpose and passion in life, which is simply to serve others by empowering people about the incredible power that lies within them.  Their innate potential.  Sounds lofty and weird, I use to think the same thing. But once you boil down health to the very essentials, the essentials that all life and healing are based on, it's not nearly as hard as our society has reshaped it to be.

EMPOWER others on how to take responsibility for their own health.  Thereafter transforming their health, and the health of those around them

It wasn't until I talked to multiple chiropractors, listened to multiple functional health or holistic docs, and meeting/hearing individuals who had been down the conventional sick-care model and it was not until they implemented the basic fundamentals of health that they were able to transform their lives.  It took me a LONG time to fully adopt this above-down, inside-out philosophy as I grew up in an outside-in mentality.  We are all constantly surrounded by the idea that we don't have control of our destinies, especially in terms of our health.  All I ever wanted to do was help others attain a better life, and it wasn't until I saw the transformations people were making where I knew this is exactly where I NEED to be. Even if I thought being a surgeon would be cool.  Diabetes, heart disease, cancer, metabolic, neurological, hormonal issues, fatigue, impotence, relieving people, babies included, of chronic issues that traditionally cripple people from living out their potential. There are absolutely cases where medical intervention is needed; thank flippin goodness we have the best emergency and urgent care systems in the world, along with the best care for those who do have extra circumstantial diseases to give people the best care possible.  I would never deny some of these components of our health care system.  The focus does need to shift away from the current accepted symptom and topical treatment based philosophy and theories to accept and utilize the LAWS that govern all health.  Getting down to the CAUSE of disease and suffering will transform lives.

The basic grounding that has kept me from straying from this path that I've started a journey down. I always try to approach any situation or convo with love and an open mind; people will have their opinions and beliefs that make them who they are, and all I can do is learn and constantly sharpen my own beliefs and values.  There is much more to say, but we'll just leave it at that for now!
