CREPES
Currently reminiscing about FRANCE, so, making CREPES is only appropriate.
Ingredients:
- 5-6 Pasture-raised/fed eggs
- 1 cup Coconut Flour
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp grassfed butter
- 1-2 tbsp arrowroot powder
- dash of vanilla
- 1 tsp sea salt
Directions:
Whisk ingredients in a bowl, and let the mix sit for 10 minutes or so to let the flour soak up the moisture. The mixture will remain liquidy, so don't freak out! Heat a cast-iron, ceramic, or some sort of non-toxic skillet (aka. avoid non-stick pans). Lather with some grassfed butter and pour a thin layer of crepe mix onto pan. Spread evenly and cover. It will only take a minute or two, so don't go far! Use a heat resistant spatula to remove from pan, and start the process over!
Toppings!!!
- Berries w/splash of lemon and drizzle of raw honey
- Banana, chocolate, almond butter
- Vanilla cream cheese with a chocolate drizzle (basic directions below)
- Chocolate drizzle recipe::
- Coconut oil-organic, cold-pressed, unrefined (~1/3 cup)
- Cacao powder- organic, fair-trade (~1/4 cup)
- 1-2 tbsp raw, organic honey
- dash of vanilla
- dash of sea salt/pink salt
- Heat gently and stir
- Vanilla cream cheeeeeze (a bit of a cheat.. bust out to impress for special occasions!)
- Organic, grassfed cream cheese (~3/4 cup)
- (optional) Organic, grassfed full fat, plain yogurt (~1/3 cup)
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp raw, organic honey
- Stir up and place in fridge to thicken (1/4 cup coconut flour if you need it to thicken more)
- Get creative and fill with breakfast items!!!
- Raw cheese (gouda, goat, sheep, gruyere just to name a few )
- Spicy chicken, spinach, mushrooms
- Onions, mushrooms, peppers
- cinnamon loaded mashed sweet potatoes
- Enchiladas
- etc etc etc
It's 2015 and time to start forming those healthy goals! Regardless of where you are at in life, setting goals, an I mean actually writing them out and identifying progress towards these goals, is an extremely powerful thing to do! I forget who originally said it, but a couple of my close friends say, "My biggest fear is setting goals too low, so low that I actually reach them." And in that lies a tremendous amount of truth and wisdom from the most successful people on the planet, in every shape and form of the term 'success'. You create your reality, GET IT.

SOOOO I've getting a TON of questions about supplements lately... of course! It's always a hot topic.
Supplements???
Health come from the inside out, NOT the other way around, Right? Our body has to be functioning optimally in order to be healthy, which is simply a state at which your body is healing. It's right in the word. Can't I get all my essential nutrients from the foods I eat? Ideally, Yes. In reality, NO. Most of our food is highly processed, toxic, and foreign to our bodies. Nutrient density is at an all time low, even in many "organic" foods. Not only is our food devoid of proper nutrition, but we are encapsulated in a toxic environment; regardless of where you are or how good you think you are at avoiding toxins. Others have been leading a highly destructive life style, which is even further complicated by medications as they strip our bodies of essential nutrients, enzymes and destroy our healthy tissues, normal gut flora, hormones, nervous system, etc.... We need to take care of our bodies through our lifestyle practices and optimize our body's ability to utilize the food we supply it, and handle the toxins we are exposed to every day. That's where the PROPER supplements taken at the OPTIMAL time can fill this gap and get you on the right track!
People ask me about supplements all the time and I have to make sure they are getting on the proper supplements as most on the store shelves are toxic and on the opposite side of the spectrum of "healthy", which is essential the point of taking a supplement right?
And it's great to know all of you are taking whole food based, organic supplements that don't contain any toxic or allergenic GMO products, casein, soy, gluten, or synthetically manufactured vitamins or additives... RRRRIGHT??? Are you sure you are taking the best possible products?? One's that are not highly toxic to your body and completely negate any health goals you're trying to achieve?
