Veggie Burgerzz
I think it's great to go at least one day a week with minimal, or no animal products. Gotta give that gut and immune system a break every once in a while!!
I throw a ridiculous amount of things in my veggie burgers, and they have yet to turn out bad. I encourage you to get creative and throw in what you think might be tasty.
Cooking in the oven is the preferred method, as cooking them in on the stove top can end up in a mess. Depends on how dense your mix is.
Pre-heat oven to 375F
What went in my last batch::
I know there are a ton of goodies in this batch, and by no means do you have to use every single thing that I did. The flax meal, beats, beans/quinoa/lentils will be the "sticky" agents, so those may be a necessity, but the rest is up to you! Get creative my fellow health nuts!!
And I know I'm vague with the amount of spices, but that's bc I rarely measure these things. Sorry. But again, I encourage you to get creative and learn what spices pair well with what, and the relative potency. It'll help you in the long run so you can quickly add spices and herbs willfully and not have to look at a recipe every time you make something! Cooking is an adventure, embark on the journey.
Since everything is raw, you can try putting smaller amounts in at a time and taste test. But, all the veggies, flax, nuts, etc will all soak up the flavors well so you can add a pretty decent amount of everything!
I literally threw all this in my big Ninja blender, shredded it up, and made patties.
Place on baking pan that is lined with parchment paper, or lubed up with grassfed butter, coconut oil, or grapeseed oil.
They do take a while to cook, especially at a lower temp, almost 10 min/side. Possibly more depending on what you used in the mix, and how thick you made the patties.
